Good evening,
First of all, I am sending out my sincerest thoughts and well wishes to you and your family that you’re staying safe and healthy during these most uncertain of times. I know this isn’t how either of us planned our end of the school year going. What was supposed to be a time filled with Easter celebrations, field days, and graduation preparations has become one filled with quiet hallways, empty classrooms, and everyone banding together to make their best efforts to ensure students continue to receive a high-quality education. As you know, your sixth and seventh graders would usually start their high school selection journeys in the springtime. They would be attending different recruitment fairs or days when high schools would have the opportunity to visit you to explain all the things they have to offer. Obviously, that platform looks a little differently now with the social distancing measures currently in place to keep everyone as safe as possible. So, we have made it our mission at St. Mary’s to still provide these opportunities for your students to learn what we’re all about in the easiest and most convenient way possible! Here’s how that can work: · We need YOUR help! All it takes is a simple hit of the forward button to send this email to your 5th-8thgrade families. · These steps will show how students can learn more about St. Mary’s and attend a virtual informational session with myself and current St. Mary’s students. We will answer any questions students and parents might have about St. Mary’s. · An email with a link to join a Zoom meeting will be sent out to everyone who fills out the form and chooses one of the dates and times on that form. · We’re encouraging younger students to join us too! The more the merrier, and the earlier the high school selection process can start, the better! · We’ve created a custom form for students to fill out for those interested in attending the Zoom session (which will last no more than 25 minutes). o https://forms.gle/w7EDYHBckNLQtoiWA We completely understand that we cannot bring these opportunities to your students without your support. If you would like to hop onto one of these Zoom sessions, please just email me, and I will send you a link. We hope that you will continue to partner with us to support Catholic education. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time. Stay safe. Stay healthy. We look forward to seeing you when this passes. “Who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ,” 2 Corinthians 1:4-5. Hello Mrs. Rahill,
I hope all is well and that you had a nice spring break! After the great response we had for our Virtual Open House, we have decided to follow that up with a series of live Q&A sessions called "Hawk Talk." We will be available on the following dates at 3pm: April 21 - April 24 and April 27 - May 1 These are open to all students and families at any stage in their high school search to ask any questions they may have and to learn more about what O'Hara has to offer! Families can register here: Hawk Talk Registration Form And if they cannot make any of those times, I am more than happy to schedule a 1-on-1 meeting with them! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Thomas Wilkie '10 Director of Recruitment [email protected] 716-695-2600 ext. 357 |
